Building on Lightning
The Lightning Network is the payment layer Bitcoin was always destined to have — instant, global, and near-zero cost. House of Bitcoin builds developer tools, infrastructure, and products that push the Lightning ecosystem forward.
What Is the Lightning Network?
The Lightning Network is a second-layer payment protocol built on top of Bitcoin. It enables off-chain transactions that settle on Bitcoin's base layer, enabling microtransactions and instant payments without the limitations of on-chain throughput.
Instant Settlement
Lightning payments route through a network of bidirectional payment channels and complete in milliseconds — no block confirmation required.
Sub-Satoshi Fees
Routing fees on Lightning are measured in millisatoshis — fractions of a penny. This enables micropayments and streaming money at a scale impossible on-chain.
Bitcoin-Secured
All Lightning channels are backed by on-chain Bitcoin outputs. Settlement is always available on the base layer — Lightning inherits Bitcoin's full security model.
Routing Network
Any two nodes can transact via multi-hop routing through the Lightning graph. No direct channel required — just a connected path with sufficient liquidity.
What We're Building
Active and planned projects built by House of Bitcoin on the Lightning Network. Bitcoin-only, open-source where possible.
Bitcoin Superchat
Lightning-powered livestream monetisation. Viewers send sats to interact in real time — no platform cut, no custodian. Direct value-for-value transfer.
